Special Committees
Special committees are established and operated following a ruling in a plenary session to deal with the jurisdiction of several standing committees or to deliberate on specific bills. cCommittees are limited to 20 members, but the Special cCommittee on Budget & Accounts consists of a maximum of 33. Special committees continue to exist until a bill that a committee has examined is put to a vote, while the tenure of committee members aligns with committee duration.

Special Committee on Ethics

The Special Committee on Ethics inspects whether members have violated their obligation to maintain dignity as municipal assemblymen, screens moral standards and deliberates on discipline to ensure that ethical principles and codes of conduct are observed. The Committee also, helps to increase the Seoul Municipal Assembly reputation and authority, and the ability to carry out its duties to improve public welfare and municipal administration.
